In a remote village in Bali, a small and impoverished Muslim community has been waiting for eight years to see their dream of a proper masjid come to life. What was once the hopeful start of a sacred space now stands abandoned and incomplete, overrun with weeds and time. For the 500 Muslims in the area, this unfinished structure symbolizes years of unfulfilled hopes for a place to gather, pray, and grow spiritually.
A masjid is far more than a building—it is the heart of a community, offering space for worship, religious learning, and unity. This masjid is especially vital as it is planned to serve not only as a place of prayer but also as a free madrasah where underprivileged children can learn about Islam and memorize the Qur'an.
