Patani Village, Afghanistan (2026)

Masjid Al-Muhaymin

Location: Patani Village, Afghanistan

Capacity: 100 worshippers

Status: Proposal Stage

  • Patani is a small rural village in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, home to approximately 15–20 households. The community relies largely on agriculture and daily labour and has very limited access to infrastructure or social services.

The existing masjid in the village is a modest mud-brick structure that was damaged during the war and later repaired by local residents using scarce resources. Despite these efforts, the building is now structurally inadequate, too small to accommodate the growing population, and lacks proper facilities for ablution and Islamic education.

In recent months, several displaced families have returned to Patani from Pakistan and other regions, with more expected to return. A new masjid is urgently needed to serve as a safe, dignified, and welcoming place of worship as the community rebuilds its lives

  • Requirements include:

    • Spacious prayer hall suitable for the entire village

    • Dedicated wudu (ablution) facilities

    • Secure doors and windows

    • PVC roofing and durable flooring

    • Waterproofing, plastering, and interior/exterior finishing

    • Electrical wiring and prayer carpets

    • Space for Qur’anic and Islamic education for children

  • The Patani Village Masjid will:

    • Provide a safe and clean environment for daily and Friday prayers

    • Enable Qur’anic and Islamic education for local children

    • Strengthen community unity and faith in a war-affected rural area

    • Support returning families by restoring a central place of worship

    • Create lasting sadaqah jariyah for donors through every prayer and lesson held in the masjid

The masjid will serve as a spiritual and educational cornerstone for the entire village, promoting moral development and social harmony

  • This will be 7 of 99 mosques, God-willing.
